Maple Chili Heat Glazed Salmon with Roasted Squash

About the Recipe

Ingredients

For the Maple Chili Heat Glazed Salmon:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin on or off)

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 2 tbsp Maple Chili Heat Blend

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce (optional for added umami)

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • Fresh parsley or cilantro (for garnish, optional)



For the Roasted Squash

  • 1 medium butternut squash, peeled, seeded, and cut into cubes

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 3-4 tbsp Maple Chili Heat Blend

  • 1/2 tsp salt

Preparation

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Prepare the squash:

    • Toss the cubed squash with olive oil, Maple Chili Heat Blend, salt, pepper, and fresh thyme (if using)

    • Spread evenly on a lined baking sheet and roast for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until tender and slightly caramelized.

  • Prepare the salmon:

    • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, Maple Chili Heat Blend, soy sauce (if using), and salt

    • Place the salmon fillets on a lined baking sheet, skin side down, and brush with the glaze mixture.

  • Roast the salmon:

    • Roast the salmon in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, until cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.

    • Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes for a caramelized finish.
