About the Recipe

Ingredients
For the dough:
2¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
2½ cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
2 tsp Taste of Italy blend (for the dough)
For the sauce & topping:
1 cup tomato sauce
3 tbsp Taste of Italy blend
2 cups shredded mozzarella
Your choice of toppings: pepperoni, mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, olives, etc.
Olive oil for brushing crust
Preparation
Make the dough: In a large bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
Add flour, salt, olive oil, and 1 tsp of Taste of Italy blend. Mix and knead for 5–7 minutes until smooth.
Cover and let dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
Preheat oven to 475°F (245°C). Punch down dough and divide into two balls. Roll out each into a pizza crust.
Spread tomato sauce over each crust and sprinkle with Taste of Italy.
Add mozzarella and your chosen toppings.
Bake for 12–15 minutes until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbly.
Brush crust with olive oil before serving.
