Taco Tango nachos

About the Recipe

Ingredients

  • Tortilla chips

  • 1 lb ground beef or black beans / lentils

  • 3 tbsp Taco Tango

  • 1–2 cups shredded cheese

  • ½ cup diced tomatoes or salsa

  • ¼ cup red onion, finely diced

Preparation

  • Heat oven to 400°F (205°C).

  • Cook protein

    • Pan over medium heat, small drizzle of olive oil.

    • Add beef or beans.

    • Season with Taco Tango. Cook until fully done and well coated. Taste. Adjust if needed.

  • Build the nachos

    • Chips on a sheet pan.

    • Even layer of protein.

    • Add tomatoes, & onion.

    • Cover with cheese.

  • Bake 8–12 minutes until cheese is fully melted and bubbling.

  • Finish

    • Add cold toppings after baking.

    • Optional: very light dusting of Maple Chili for sweet-heat contrast.
